This morning, I had the misfortune of finding out my first class was canceled--
after I was already on the shuttle and well on my way to campus. Having two and a half hours before my second (and only) class, I decided I would stumble. This was one of the first pages I stumbled upon: [
Petite Lap Giraffes!]
The website shows a "live" feed of a petite lap giraffe on a Russian farm. At first I was shocked... You mean they really exist?! I had seen one on a Direct TV commercial (I think that's what it was), but I assumed it was just really awesome special effects.
It didn't take me long to decide that it was fake. I was sort of sad. How cool would it be to have a a petite lap giraffe?
The website even tells you how to care for a PLG:
"Diet: distilled water and bonsai tree leaves
Health problems: none. They are the best.
Living conditions: PLG’s love being indoors in filtered air conditioning. If they can listen to music of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov it is dream.
Grooming: a bubble bath once a week with purified water is all they need."
Although I was disappointed to learn that I wouldn't be able to have a PLG as a pet, I was glad I stumbled upon this website--it made my sucky morning a little better and definitely gave me a good laugh.
